For Tania and Armen’s late summer wedding, they wanted a look which was gardenlike, seasonal and organic. Their day started at the beautiful St Yeghiche Armenian Church in London, and we adored festooning the church with flowers. The cool and calm atmosphere, the light and anticipation.
Guests then arrived to Kew Gardens, basking in the sunshine. Cafe au lait dahlias, hydrangea, cosmos, butterfly ranunculus and more were the floral stars of the show with late summer sundown shades with a sultry smokiness. A celebration of love surrounded by nature’s finest.
Down the length of the dining tables, an eclectic collection of flowers in bud and bottle vases in a mix of finishes – ceramic, weathered copper and some glass, with larger arrangements woven through with pillar candles in glass sleeves and tealights for that final touch. The look was delicate with blousy open roses with dancing stems of cosmos, scabious and other meadowy flowers creating an organic and layered scheme.
