On the 19th September 2020, the Mary Jane Vaughan team decorated our first venue-based socially distanced wedding celebration, at Georgian Grade II listed gem, RSA House.
The RSA House events team had organised logistics to ensure safety measures were adhered to with staggered arrival times, digital temperature checks and a socially distanced layout for the ceremony and dining, but the focus remained on Sophie and Ben’s intimate day.
The flowers were frothy early Autumn whites and seasonal foliage arranged organically with delicate movement. The style and colour scheme working perfectly with the strikingly simple Benjamin Franklin Room and not fighting with the Great Room’s stunning frieze.
The RSA’s varied spaces are each perfect for different elements of the day. It also means that flowers can be easily re-purposed between the ceremony and dining whilst guests are having drinks. For Sophie and Ben, the ceremony backdrop, a tumbling mantelpiece arrangement, went on to dress the top table and the bridesmaids’ bouquets decorated each dining table.
