We loved designing the flowers for this wedding, and hope it proves that – if used in the right way – strong, regal colours can look contemporary, natural and organic. We used late summer flowers, including burgundy sangisorba, scabious, equinox thistles, delphinium, and beautiful micanthus grass, alongside coral hypericum and – our September favourite – snowberries. Amongst those, in abundance, smoky foliages, including olive and cotoneaster (with their fabulous arched stems), and eucalyptus.
The family placed a lot of trust in us with planning from afar, and as the big day neared we enjoyed video calls from their home in the US to look at flowers together. The finished result was described by the bride as ‘amazing’ and we absolutely loved it too! Unique, elegant and seriously stylish.
