Chelsea Flower Show needs no introduction but it’s not just the grounds inside the Royal Hospital Chelsea that go all out on their displays.
If just want to soak up the atmosphere without getting too horticultural about it all then a trip to Sloane Square and the Kings Road during Chelsea Week is a must. All around the area, boutiques and restaurants festoon their storefronts with themed, Insta worthy installations for the week long celebration titled Chelsea In Bloom.
This year we were invited by Tiffany & Co to dress their Sloane St store with a display inspired by ‘Voyages of Discovery’ – not just the theme for #chelseainbloom but for the rich heritage of the brand too. Hundreds of stems of textured pampas grass and a dazzling array of dahlias were used to create custom built arches around the main entrance and feature windows, as well as inside the store with layers of vases on occasional tables and display cases. During the set-up through the night at the start of the week a passer by commented “beautiful flowers – just what we all need right now” – and we couldn’t agree more.
