Burnt orange, saffron yellow, dusky pink and lots of gorgeous, tropical inspired texture. A dream look for a wedding at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew in sultry late afternoon sunshine.
We combined fiery orange heliconia and pincushion protea with gloriosa curcuma and added nerines and alliums with their firework shaped petals for a nod to the seasonal planting in the gardens. Peonies made an appearance too with their unique ruffled, scented puffs of prettiness. Perfect to soften the bridal bouquet and at their peak in early May.
After the ceremony under a beautiful birch chuppah festooned with flowers, guests made their way to the Orangery to dine under tall tablecentres filled with flowers to match, adding masses of mercuried gold tealights to shimmer into the evening.
We just can’t stop looking at these pictures by Benjamin Wheeler that capture the look so perfectly. A beautiful wedding reflective of the season and the venue, but most of all the lovely couple who inspired every detail.
